Same result, but just alot of unnessecary workarounds. If i took a backup of an file i could still rename it, and use it, There is no logic to this.Īlso what is the point of having files auto-removed? Not to mention crashing their save games which are depending on the mod. Poff! gone in the wind.Īs a creator, i do not mind if people keeps playing my mods or alter it, even if i decided to cease development on working on my mod.Īnd should I decide to remove my mods, I dont find it reasonable to remove it from other peoples computer and crush their enjoyment. I tried to reupload it with the same name, which i could not, but not only that, it keeps auto-deleting my files even when i try to manually insert it in the data folder.Īnd I feel sorry for those who downloaded my mod, but woke up to a nasty suprise. I know this issue myself as an creator, who uploaded my own mod on steam workshop, but deleted my own mod by accident. Isnt it quite frustrating, and timewasting to find a good mod, you would like to keep, just for it to dissapear into the thin air, like its never existed, and then feel so powerless to prevent it. One day you subscribe to a cool mod, the next day its gone, cause it got deleted by author. The issue is, that none of us have any control of what happens to the files, it deletes itself from the data folder, when an author removes it on steam workshop. This makes it really difficult and time consuming to keep track of, and its even harder when mod deletes by itself when an author deletes it without notice or any choice of whether to keep the mod or not in my folder. I have almost subscribed to over 400 mods on steam workshop for warhammer total war. If i am not the only one, please speak up. I hope I am not the only one who think this steam workshop system is messed up.
